The Power of Solitude: Finding Strength in Being Alone

My current employment requires me to constantly talk to other people, be in meetings, and ingest this large dose of other people’s humanity. Thoughts, biases, moods, emotions, and they all come streaming in at an amazing rate.

How do I deal with it? I make sure that I have time alone, and not dwelling on what others said, but listening to the most important person, me, myself and I. Okay, I joke a little, but it’s the ability to be alone, to work on yourself, to have your own thoughts, that truly makes you resilient in a world of constant struggle.

The Benefits of Solitude:

You might be wondering, how can being alone benefit me? Trust me, it does. For one, solitude helps you recharge your mental batteries. With constant social interaction, your mind is never at rest, and you can easily become mentally exhausted.
